People buy the wifi adapter because their computer is often quite a ways from the router in their house. Or they don't want to drill holes in the walls and run the ethernet cable.

Wired internet is faster than wireless...but both are likely faster than your internet connection...so the point is moot.

The wired cable will do everything the wireless will do...as well as being more reliable and not susecptible to interference.

Let's say your internet connection is 5mbps download well wired lan runs at 100MBPS and the wifi adapter for the 360 runs at 54MBPS (I think) which are both going to be faster than your connection unless you have some crazy ass connection. Ethernet also only loses connection speed after like 500 feet anyway.

The standard max length for Cat5 ethernet is 100 meters or 327 feet.

I have the wireless adapter, but it works just as well as my wired. So i just stick with wireless. My friend is always like, i have to have wired, because he doesn't believe in wireless. But meh, it works just as good.

If you have the choice go with wired. Then there are no "accidental" disconections. Otherwise you can get scr***8 over in a game if you get disconected
