USB Wireless Network Adaptor

I have recently purchased an Elite and have just tried to hook it up ot xbox live. However when I plug in my wireless network adaptor it just has a red circle and won't connect to network. I thought it was a problem with the adaptor so I plugged it back into my original xbox and it works fine.

Am I missing something?? Anyone know what I need to do surely it can't be 1 wireless network adapttor per xbox?

If you google it, it seems to be a commen issue.

The first thing you do it hook up the 360 with a normal ethernet cable. Make sure you have all the current updates downloaded. Then turn them off, 360 and modem, re-boot modem, then with wireless now plugged in, reboot the Xbox.

Try those steps first.

mrscmo is right. its because your router cant change IP's well its on so you have to turn it off and turn it back on with the xbox connected. then to get your computer to work again you'll have to turn it off and on again but with the computer conected
