playing while downloading
I have never really understood why its not possible to download a demo and play a normal game at the same time, i suppose it could be due to HDD speed limitations or CPU speeds but it really annoys me. Infact the only reason im writing this right now is because im waiting for the COD5 and Mirrors edge demos to DL.
Anyway does anyone know if it will be possible to DL and play at the same time when the new update is realeased?

more than likely it's a bandwidth thing. the xbox can't allocate bandwidth, so when it's downloading it doesn't allow you to play to prevent you and other people (in p2p based servers) from lagging

Its true^ Any games that dont require you to be online you can still DL while playing. Most Arcade games can. Like Legos, you can play Legos and DL demos.

yea but what about when your not in an online game, the xbox should realise that you are not in an online game and alow you to download.
the only reason i could think of is your downloading of marketplace and you trying to save a game at the same time, it mite conflict, im probably totally worng |

that's a very good point, it may be that microsoft doesn't trust their equipment to save two things simultaneously (you can only dl 1 thing from marketplace at a time) so it doesn't want to get into an issue where a game's trying to save but it can't because marketplace is downloading
