Clear up questions

Hey guys, After about 2 months researching all the consoles I have finally decided im "PROBABLY" going to get the 360. The reason is the great variety of games and more to come.

I also love the controller which was the first thing I noticed about it was awesome.

Though having these feelings, I am still wondering. The RROD Is a big problem for me because I dont want it to crap out on me all the time. If it happens once and then its fine than thats okay but I dont want it to happen all the time.
Also Ive heard the newer models have a new chip or something. This is supposed to help the RROD problem. Also how much time do you think I should play on a daily basis to not get the RROD. I will also put it in a well-ventilated area.

Also I have had a friend who keeps telling my that the 360 is coming to an end? I dont believe him but is this true? Like...No new games are coming.. and nobody is buying it anymore and stuff like that. Also another question. If I take the plate off the 360 and put more holes in it by drilling holes would that keep it cool and better? Can I do that? At the sides I mean. I dont mean just like 2 or 3. I mean alot, but they are small. Sorry for the long post. I just dont want to regret it.

Don't worry about RRoD, or daily play time, or anything like that. Just play it as much as you want, and make sure you don't have it wrapped in kevlar or anything else air-restricting.
Your friend is delusional.
I wouldn't recommend drilling random holes in the case in an attempt to cool the system better. Reminds me of The Simpsons where Homer puts "speed holes" in his car to make it go faster...

The newer systems have much less RRoD and now Microsoft covers all RRoD so there is no need to worry. Get the 360
great system, great games, great community!
