disk drive errors
so my drive is broken, its definetly the drive, it wont open, or it wont read disks, or the light wil blink, or ill get the e-65 error message. i took it to a repair guy who said he replaced the drive. it works sometimes just like it did before. he told me it could be because if i did the towel trick in the past which i told him i did, the motherboard could be damaged so it wont matter that he replaced the drive, and so he wont refund my money. but i took the face plate off and the warranty sticker is still in tact. he seems like a honest guy so i dont want to accuse him of not doing anything to the box and just taking my money, but thats what im thinking he did.
so does it sound like he replaced the drive or no?

If he is half smart (which he seems to be) he took off the warranty sticker with a blowdryer (or something of the sort), changed the drive, then put it back when he was done.
So, you probably did change the drive, and kept your warranty in check.
P.S. Don't ever do towel trick. Ever.

There is definitely a possibility he did open it up. Its quite easy to leave the warranty sticker in tact.

the new stickers are paper so they tear easily. mine was fixed from having rrod so it was paper
