Exclamation hard drive over heating?

ok, so i am a noob modder but i have the basic idea of wiring down so i decided to go all out on my 360.

im wiring the 2 blue LED lights that will be in my hard drive case. i read somewhere on these forums that the YELLOW wire is the positive and the BLACK is the negative. the LED's im using are hobby LEDs from radio shack. 3.2v supply at 20mA. i filled out the resistant's calculater that i also found somewhere on this forum and it said i needed 100-Ohm 1/8 Watt resistors. ive got those, and ive actually got the first resistor and LED wired in, with the resistor on the YELLOW (pos.) wire. and then im going to repeat for the second LED.

now i was originally going to install switch into the parallel circuit, but have found that to be very difficult because of the loss of space. so my question is, is the HDD going to over heat if i dont install a switch so i can turn off the lights? or will it be fine if im playing games for hours on end?

silly question i know, but i want to know if a switch would be a luxury or a necessity. thanks everyone!!!

one more thing, are you supposed to run the LED's in series? i have it in parallel and only the first LED lights up.
