Hi guys,
I got mine back from repair from m$. I also had the newer sticker. I tried the heatgun method and it worked  . No problems at all.
But I've got another question. The xbox i got back from M$ died again after just one week. (E74)I only played for about 5 hours  And I already softmodded it. So does anybody know if M$'ll check if your xbox is softmodded when your warrenty sticker is still on? ( Yes, i do know that your origional firmware can be restored)
If anybody know's, please let me know

You can flash the firmware on the optical drive to play burnt games.
A taboo subject on the X3F forum.

I'm dutch so i understand your question, And yes I flashed ny drive.
I changed my firmware to ixtreme 1.4 so i can play burned games.
So my question was, if anybody knows if M$ 'll check your firmware version when you send it back for repair.
If they do, I'm going to flash my drive to the origional firmware.

I've heard of people sending their 360's in without any sticker and with modded firmware and getting a new 360 back. So to the above poster who said can I send it in, it cna't hurt to try!
