Here is a sample of how I would do this. Blue does not make sense to me. The whole feel of Assassins Creed is set in a memory of the past. Distorted colors which lean more towards black and white. Now I am not saying blue will be bad but I really think you wont like the blue in the end.

But the case and majority of the game is based around the white and blue scheme. Like when a memory glitch happens, or a loading screen, its white and blue. Even the game case itself is white and blue.

But the logo on the box isnt even blue. Its white with Creed being red. If this is logo based wouldnt you want to stay true to the colors that is represented? The words and logo are white and outlined in a bold black.

True. So your recommendation is black with white led?
I could go like the Assassins flags, and do white and red led.....

Ya pretty much like the picture I made for you. I would even go as far as adding red LEDs somewhere in the case towards the bottom to give that redish white look. Kind of a fading white to red in the logo.
I dont want you to think I am trying to take over your project. I am only trying to help you really make sure you choose the best colors because its a real pain in the ass to change it later. In the end its all about what you will like best. Thats why I made that picture. So you can get a quick glimpse of what it could look like the way I see it. But in the end its all about you and your thoughts.

How hard would it be to try it as white and blue, then change to black and white/red?
Simply painting it again right?

Its not that simple. If you paint over paint then you get a pretty thick and heavy case. You also have a greater risk of the paint chipping off or a web effect in the paint.
