Help with cleaning out my console
Once a month or so, I use the vacuum cleaner and tissue to de-dust my PC. It helps it run faster, makes less noise and is just something I heard you should do a while back. Seeing as 360's are obvioulsy similar to PC's, I was wondering if I should do this every now and then to my console?
I'm probably going to, and I was wondering how I should do it? I don't know how the warranty is voided so I don't know if taking the case off to dust it would void it, any help?
P.S
do you think just using a vacuum on the fans like I do with my PC would be enough?
Thanks

Opening the case voids your warranty unless you take the sticker off properly. Take a vacuum to the fans would be a good idea.

I don't take mine apart to clean it, I just use the vacuum on it. Taking the case apart seems a bit excessive.

So now I'm goin' back again, I got to get to her somehow.
All the people we used to know, They're an illusion to me now.
Some are mathematicians, Some are carpenter's wives.
Don't know how it all got started, I don't know what they're doin' with their lives.
But me, I'm still on the road, Headin' for another joint
We always did feel the same, We just saw it from a different point of view,
Tangled up in blue.

Thanks.
I didn't' want to take the case off but I was wondering if I needed to, to get a good clean, but if the vacuum works then that's better for me

Actually using a vacuum does not get anywhere near all the dust out. Its amazing at how much dust those heat sinks collect. Not to mention the fans. I take my case apart once a month to blow all the dust out.

Truthfully, I think it depends where you have your xbox resting. I had my xbox for about 2yrs when I got me RROD. When I finally took it apart to fix it, I was supprised to find that there was nodust at all. I usually just keep the area its resting on clean every week. IMO

Taking it apart voids your warranty. If you are no longer under warranty, I'ld open it up and clean it out well
