Anyone sucessfully swap out stock HDD for larger one?
Has anyone sucessfully done a hard drive swap using a different SATA drive in the cage? I know these things use a standard 2.5 inch SATA hard drive. I have found a how to but of course they don't say if it was used sucessfully.
Also, would this constitute it as being hard modded(like a chip mod) and will Microsoft black list my 360? Bottom line, if done correctly (ghosted) will it work at all?

No you can't. You can use Western Digital BEVS 20GB and 120GB drives with some preparing...but you can't just use any size drive you want.
There is special signature that the Xbox realizes, and until someone cracks the signature, 120 GB and 20GB are the only sizes you can use.

Why it's not like they said it was to pirate games. They just want a larger HDD.

Why not. It's not illegal.
"My friend gave me his elites black hdd and I want to put it on my white 360 I want them to match can I swap the insides?" How is that illegal? Or against the rules in anyway. Thats like saying swapping the stock fans with better ones is against the rules.
