Im new and want to cool my 360 bad!
Hi guys, im new and basicaly im waiting for my 360 come back from Microsoft as it overheated and kept freezing, what mods can I do to keep my 360 cool ? Thanks.

you dont need to mod it.
Make sure it has plenty of ventilation around it, and it should be fine.

Welcome to X3F. Well ventilation does not mean anything. The stock fans on the 360 are terrible. There are many things to do for better cooling. Replace the stock fans with high speed fans. Add a 40mm fan to the cpu heat sink. If having the 360 in a well ventilated area was the only problem then there wouldnt be over 1 million dead consoles out there.

I agree except for the high speed fans. The XCM fans are exactly the same as the stock fans they just don't have a steady 12v to it. A few soldering points can change that. I myself will be adding 60mm fans aswell.

They are not exactly the same. The bearings are different and running both at stock speeds the temps are not the same. Thats like saying all 80mm fans are all the same. Some are good and some suck. M$ fans suck.

Well put. Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of M$ stuff, but I will test for myself if you don't mind.

I did that second cooling mod madden suggest. I don't know if its any cooler being I don't have a temp reader.

Okay guys looking at both methods which you have done,is there anyway which I can put a Falcon fan in my 360 ? Thanks
