Lightbulb Tutorial: Making Cooling PC Fans for the 360

Well this is all over the internet with videos on youtube but it's not fully explained well so i made my own and it turned out great so i will be doing this for this lovely forum so people would do it to their xbox without voiding warranty and it will work very good as i can feel the air going out from the back really cooler

1st lets start with what u will need

1) Two 12V PC colling fans
2) 12V AC DC Adapter
3) A PC power connectivity plug
4) Electric Tape
5) Card Board
6) Wire Cutting tool

Now let's move to the work

1) Cut off the connectivity are at the end of the Adapter wire

2) Rip off the plastic cover and get good length of the wire shown

3) Connect the Fans together as shown

4) connect the PC power plug to the fans as shown

5) Here is the tricky part: the PC power plug got two wires Yellow and Black so black is Negative( - ) and Yellow is Positive(+), while the Adapter got two black wires but one of them is striped with white color The Black is Positive(+ ) and the Striped is Negative( - )

Connect the Negative to Negative and Positive to Positive

Now electric tape the firmly and make sure they are firmly sealed

6) Now let's test if it's running well

7) Place the fans on the Cardboard shown and Electric tape around to keep them intact with the edge of the cardboard and
Here is how it's supposed to look like

8) Final project done and air coming from behind really cooler

Notes:

You can similarly add two extra fans at the back but u will have to connect the AC DC adapter oppositely because at the back they r meant to suck air out so u will be connecting + to - and - to + this way the fan will rotate to the counter direction of its normal direction.

Hope u like this guys and Start cooling Down

They r both by me... Well putting the fans at the back will have be made in reverse way so they suck out the air....

I am not sure if fans on fans will be fine... i never tried it but i noticed the back of the xbox is Hot while the whole case is cooler than before.. May i will do ur thing later and report back

i did the same exact thing with my old pc fans, they are just black. one of them didnt have the wire for the PSU so i just took the other off and wired them together then wired on the AC/DC converter. i need a better converter tho because its only 9v and the fans are 12v. it also turns it self off for safety reasons i guess, it gets very warm tho.

4.5/5 on the guide only because you didnt show how to do it without the PSU plug wires. but that should be common sense anyway, lol.

I don't think I would do that to my own xbox. Also, your picture host is absolute trash. Every time you click on the picture, you see it for 1 second then you get taken to an advertisement. Epic Fail.
