Ebay Coolers
Hi, short time reader, first time posted.

Just wanted some opinions on whether the Ebay fans/coolers for X-Box 360 are effective and worth their cost. I have read over a few topics especially regarding fans and cooling as this is the main problem that causes the RROD. I am new to this and would not feel confident modding or creating a fan myself. Can anyone provide any advice in what can be purchased etc.

You don't know what you are talking about. The intercooler is dumb and a waste, as are most external coolers, but if you replace the stock fans of your 360 or add some internal fans, they are worth it and will prevent eh RROD.

There are 3 replacement fans for the rear of the console.

Talismoon Whisper
Talismoon Whisper Max
XCM High Speed cooler.

Talismoon whipser, works off of the voltage your 360 supplies, hotter your system faster your fans move. These fans are quieter and move more air than the stock fans.

Talismoon Whisper Max, this includes a switch where you can switch between 5v and 12v. 5v being very quiet and not too good cooling (for like watching DVDs and stuff) and 12v (for gaming) 12v is the max voltage and will keep your console really cool.

XCM-They always run at 12v and have that little temp sensor that hooks onto the back of your console.

XCM core cooler V1 or V2, V1 is 1 fan V2 is 2 fans. These are fan(s) that you put in front of the CPU heatsink to increase airflow inside the console.

running the fans in the back of the console at 12v all the time makes them a lot noiser just so you knwo.

Is it true that by replacing the stock fans, you can possibly get banned from xboxlive? I've heard this from numerous people and on numerous forums.

Rofl. How could that be possible? Microsoft won't just magically know you've replaced them. The only thing that would do is void your warranty.
