is my warranty sticker ok
hi,
woop! i finally got a 360, 60gb from ebay, £72, including a controller! but no cables. microsoft are sending me the power brick foc though!
i guess this is the right place for my questions.
firstly, does my warranty sticker look ok, as i thought it looked slightly ripped, and i dont want to waste my time with a hairdryer if it is already broken.
secondly, can you tell if i have the upgraded motherboard from the date of manufacture? i have the benq drive if that helps. pic of sticker with date below
finally, would a laser cutter cut the case well? as i have access to one

Thats a new warranty sticker...looks ripped though (Ebay or craig's list right?). I'll check for the manufacturing date, to see if it is a Jasper.
EDIT: It could be a jasper, they started to make them in 08-08-06. Yours is 08-08-12.

My Xbox has the same sticker, does that mean its been repaired/refurbished because of a past RROD??? Sorry not trying to thread jack. |

No idea...the old stickers were aluminumish looking.
That could be Xbox's new stickers though (i heard they had changed them).

yeah, they are the new stickers, but i have heard that they are used on repaired consoles as well.
i can see a little metalic shiny strip on the sticker, which is intact. would that mean it is ok?
also how would i check what version of motherboard it has?

It might not be ripped, but it has been tampered with. Xbox wouldn't repair it anyways.
