XBL Update Twitter, Facebook & Last.Fm

Twitter and Facebook services are free for all but Microsoft will surely please Xbox LIVE Gold members with free usage because of the subscriptions. Adding a social feature for gamers might help Microsoft to have just a little advantage over interface offered by other gaming consoles. So far, there isn't an official word on whether the service would eventually be made available for all Xbox LIVE users - for free or at charge. We've got to wait for Zune HD launch.

Never used facebook or twitter. So neither of them are of any use to me.
I will have to look into Last.fm. As i don't know what that is.

So far it's a pointless update for me, but at least it's free. haha

Edit. Last.fm looks good. Might use that.

Last.fm can only be used if you have the page open. You can't run it in the background.

You mean on Xbox live? As it works in the background on my computer.

This update doesnt meant much to me either, dont use facebook or twitter and if I did it would be much easier with a mouse and keyboard.
Last.fm is cool but having to keep it open sucks, might aswell use the 360's media player whilst playing games

Pointless update

why stray away from gaming for god sake... we dont need pointless features like the ps3! the majority of xbox live users have a PC.. which does all those things and have done for years.

Its really annoying when games consoles are made into something they dont need to be, just like the wii with pointless "Social games, for all the family" and now microsoft have to jump on the bandwagon with the facebook success ¬_¬, it wont be long before microsoft will be promoting gaming exercise through natal...
