Yeah that may just be a rumor, but if it isn't do you really think it would do anything? It's not like people are gonna go to the store with their name on a reserve list for P$3 and once they get there they see a copy of Halo 3 and they say to themselves "New System or new game?" I bet about 99% of the people will go with the system. And besides after halo 2 I'm not too excited about a sequal.

Actually the halo 3 stunt against the ps3 launch probably wont happen. When in an interview Bill Gates was asked when halo 3 would be released and he said that that was one of the few things he doesn't know. He said they are letting bungie have a lot of time so they are f inished when theyre finished, abviously to get a quality product.

Halo 3 will not affect the ps3 sales. It will sell by itself, but not affecting the ps3. We cant compare a console to a game.

Also m$ looks like a little kid making those statements. Allard, Ballmer, and Moore have a big mouth, and they dont know how to control it. Bill Gates on the other hand, in every interview has been trying to avoid sony.

I honestly think its a bad idea to release the game on the same day as PS3's launch, just imagine the lines forming at the stores the day before, there will be die hard sony fans and die hard xbox fans, and you know what will happen when those 2 kinds of people are together. That would get very ugly...

xpitbull, no offence but I think that you are entirley wrong. Halo is an extremely powerfull game and has a huge reputation, so yes i think that this game can definitely affect another consoles sales. Oh and games do sell consoles remember, because why would a vivid FPS gamer buy a nintendo game cube?

yep, i believe that halo was the biggest reason why people bought the xbox 1, besides the hardware.
