The Mii-like Avatars are just the beginning, he says. The new Dashboard adds a community channel, which allows you to send messages to friends or invite them to a "live party." With this upcoming update, Xbox 360 becomes an even more social experience.

Avatars will be mandatory!
Update will also require you to have a memory card with the minimum amount of 256mb. This means all you Core and Arcade owners will need to purchase a HDD or a memory card 256mb or greater.

I wonder how much clothing our avatars have to be wearing. I want to have my avatar be an overweight black man with spiky blue hear and wearing nothing but polka dot boxers...just like my Saint's Row character.

i bet they will figure out some way to get name brand clothes in there and make you pay for them too for the avatars
