pc selected failed

hello people. I am struggling to connect my xbox360 to my laptop. My setup is as follows:

an xbox 360, connected into my router. my laptop is wirelessly connected to the router.

the xbox connects fine to xbox live but cannot find my laptop.

I have installed windows media player 11 and it has detected my 360...i know this because in sharing properties it shows my 360 and when i click properties it has my consoles product id and mac addy. I never entered these, so it mst have detected it somehow.

How do i go about getting my xbox to choose my pc? It's really confusing me now. I've read loads of posts about similar problems, but still can't figure it out. Any help would be really appreciated

Just incase anybody has the same problem, i thought i'd post my solution. I had zonealarm disabled, but it needs to actually be completely shut down. As soon as i shut it down it began working perfectly. I'm now using windows firewall again.
