Well tbh I didn't know that moderate NAT type meant anything cuz im kinda new to xbl
i tried all this and my router site was being shit and wouldn't let me do anything, but i finally got it Open so if anyone here has moderate with a 'D-Link Wireless ADSL Router Model: G604T' then all you need to do is enable UPnP which is under the Advanced tab
just thought i'd pass it on if anyone else had the same problem
Woot i wont keep getting kicked out of online games every hour =P

I need help. I currently got a new router since I switched my internet provider to Verizon Fios. When I play Halo 3, I get a message that my NAT type is not open. I test my connection and it says my NAT type IS open. Matchmaking has been slower and I don't know how to fix this. Do I just follow the instructions and act like my NAT settings are moderate/strict? Or do I have to do something else?

i just reset my router once, and now all my Nat settings are open:P if you have Linksys this is probably the best solution

I've tried these suggestions and other steps but mine is still moderate. See it asks for me to put in a Port Range, Local IP, Local Port, Protocol and description, for when i'm port forwading.
I know what to put in for all of these except the local IP, do i put in my router's IP or my Xbox's?

I've been experiencing some problems with the NAT settings recently. I've tried going onto my Internet router and adding the XBox to Application Sharing, still set to Strict. Tried resetting the BT Home Hub to help, that caused nothing. Got told I need to update the BT firmware to the latest version, tried that, still Strict. Configured my Norton Internet Security to allow XBox ports through and that didn't work either.
Been told by someone off another forum that it's to do with my Norton Internet Security, turned the Firewall off, it worked and set my NAT to Open...only for 10 minutes later the NAT to go back to Strict.
Has anyone got any advice that could help me please?

Good tutorial, mine was configured already when I first got on xbox live. I've always had the most open NAT connection.
