Profanity rant
What is with XBL that makes most of the players think it is necessary or acceptable to be f-this or f-that???  It kind of ruins a game when you are having to stop playing to mute rude people.

I'm a newbie here and a newbie Xbox user... contributing to the Live problem, I suppose! :-)
Seeing your thread after starting to read several others as I try to get accustomed to this site, thread after thread is laced with posts full of profanities.
I belong to a number of sites with the same software used here... and most attempts at swearing automatically get the  tag. They don't seem to do it here - so I guess Xboxers feel free to "let it fly"!
Who knows... I guess you could submit negative reviews after you play these people - I'm still learning, but I'll "keep an ear" out to see if what you describe is more the norm rather than the exception.

Welcome to XBL, hope you have better luck, reviews don't work any ways I never use profanity on XBL, in fact I have my mic turned off most of the time, I only turn it on to say nice shot "player's name" or something to that effect and yet I have FB for language or disrupting the game??? Whiel all I am hearing is racial slurs and profanity????
Probably came from the players I asked to stop the profanity so my kids could play which I no longer let them play on live ( at least not before ALL communication it turned off ).

I can understand on the net and at least there I can filter it out ) but on XBL there isn't much to prevent it. The terms of service are basically a joke, the only thing they enforce is if you are using a modded console you get banned.
