Child---Adult account

I just turned 18 so i am changing my account from a child to an adult account. When i go to upgrade it however it makes me type in my credit card information. When i enter it in it keeps saying something is not right. Im 100% positive it is all entered correctly though. does anyone know what is going on?

did u just get the card? did u activate it yet? y the hell did u do a child account anyway

My debit card expired, so i got a new one, i activated it early today. And i wasnt even thinking at the time so put my real birthday on it. =[.

Well you should be set once that one is activated. You need to use a different card to prove that you're eighteen. Don't ask me how that works.

u can have a card at 16, but they figure if you have a credit card that you must be 18 since u clicked the checkbox that its ok to make charges, and only an 18 year old can do that. lol

I had this problem too, its easy to change you just have to go into the account settings (i think ms recently updated so that you can change it?) as ive been stuck with a child account for months after been 18 >.<!
