Please disregard the my post below. I had the wep key wrong. *embarrased*
Amazing. I just got off a 30 minute phone call with XBOX support, and they still can't find out why I cannot pass the IP test. I'm hoping someone on this board might have a suggestion? Here's my setup/situation.
ISP: Road Runner Hi-Speed Internet (Time Warner Cable)
Modem: Motorola SB4200
Router: Linksys WRT54GS (confirmed compatable with XBOX live)
DHCP IS enabled.
Setup: Cable -> Modem -> Router -> PC(upstairs, wired to router) and XBOX 360 elite (downstairs - xbox360 wireless adapter)
IP Addresses: Confirmed different, therefore not conflicting.
xbox settings
IP Settings: Automatic
DNS Settings: Automatic
Test results
Network Adapter: USB Wireless
Wireless Network: Connected
IP Address: FAILED
The XBOX rep said that the only other thing I could check would be to plug the xbox directly into my router and check that, but it would be a HUGE pain. I don't get it. Everything is set up correctly but it's still not working.
Anyone have any ideas?
