Is it possible to connect to the Xbox 360 through a wired connection by plugging it into a port on a wireless router?

Also, just out of intrest.
My girlfriend owns a Laptop, and I wish to do a "Internet Sharing" connection.
So, does that mean she is unable to use the Internet while I am on Xbox Live or playing a Online Game?

You can use the Xbox and PC at the same time, obviously you want to avoid downloading or uploading lots of info on the PC whilst playing on live.
But browsing, e-mail, MSN etc is fine whilst your playing on live

Right, her laptop is wireless ,and when I go into the network connections settings, and right click, load up the settings and go to advanced, I dont see a "Allow users to connect to the internet through this" setting =/

iv attached the adapter to the back of the xbox, and its light is red.
Im trying to connect it by usb flash drive, and the xbox detects the usb as soon as iv put it in, so no problem there.
then it says i cannot save the settings to the adaptor. iv tried using a different usb port on the xbox, resoring the factory settings and loads of other stuff. still no luck.
anyone? halp?
has GAME sold me a faulty adapter? or has someone else had this same problem?

If you've:-
Tried the official adapter on all of your USB ports
Tried to change the wireless settings in the network area of the dashboard but they are greyed out
Got the Network Adapter Disconnected message and the LED is red
Then the adapter is faulty.
Your not alone I've seen lots of threads on this lately, I believe there maybe a batch of faulty adapters, some people have had to replace it 2 or 3 times before they get a good one.
My advice would be to return it and get them to test the replacement before you leave the store
