staus code 80070003 driving me mad!!

Hello,

Every time I try to download a demo I get this error message status code 80070003 and I am unable to proceed.

I have googled this and almost every thread I have read seems to trail off about people complaining how Xbox need bigger HD's and doesn't really solve my problem. I have cleared almost everything from hard drive except saved games and still the problem persists. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and managed to solve it?

The only thing I can think of doing is buying a memory card and saving everything on that and then formatting my hard drive, or buying a new hard drive altogether which is something I really want to avoid doing as they are well overpriced.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

Sounds like a hard drive problem.

My mate had same with a 20 gb drive, because he was constantly writing onto it and deleting it broke eventually and would not save anything - it is only a machine!

Isn't that what hard drives are for. They shouldn't corrupt because of constant reading and writing.

Its more likely that the HD was damaged in some way by power fluctuations
