Huge xbox 360 problem

I have one;

-Xbox 360 Wireless
-Xbox 360 Wired
-Laptop Wireless
Router;
-WRT54G Linksys v8.00.5 (Router has basically anything a new router model would have, UPnP, etc.)

Problem is, that I have UPnP enabled for both Xboxs, which works completely fine. No Port foward or anything is enabled, and the only other thing changed on my router is the wireless settings, and the MTU which has been changed to 1365. PROBLEM: Whenever the laptop happens to be on I CANNOT play online with my wireless Xbox 360, the wired xbox works fine.
I was thinking that the laptop was hogging the connection or something like that. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND FEEL FREE TO ASK Q'S ABOUT THE PROBLEM I WILL RESPOND ASAP. THANKS!
OK: I only CANNOT connect to my xbox live on my wireless xbox when the Laptop is surfing the web, on Youtube, DOwnloading from Limewire etc. The computer can be on and thats fine. But downloading things is what im talking about, this also makes the other xbox lag (The wired one) so if you could tell me how to stop lagging on the wired xbox and to be able to actually find a game on my wireless xbox, that would be great, oh yeah and as i checked i can only not find games on my wireless xbox on COD4. I tried The Orange Box and I can find games except they all have low pings, considering that Im "Lagging"? Thanks!

Sorry for the bad grammer halfway through, its because I copy and pasted this from another forum where nobody could help me.

I'll start, but no guarantees.

How fast is your internet connection? Do you have DSL or dial-up or what?
My guess is when you are doing internet intensive things like videos and filesharing, you are eating you connection and because the live takes a bit of internet too, that may be the problem

good luck

We have Dsl, and I think that is the problem too, i was told that maybe QoS would help? What do you think?

Which DSL are you using? Is this SBC?

I have Verizon Dsl, I actually have no idea what SBC is. I have figured out also that the problem with my wireless xbox and the laptop is that i just lag - just like the wired xbox. So i just need help figuring out how to let the xbox have more of the connection than the laptop so that both xboxs will stop lagging. Or is there a way i could hook up 2 routers to one computer? so that i could let the laptop have one, and the xboxs have the other one?

The two routers wouldnt work, because its the same internet they are connecting to.

do you know your internets speed?

edit, i just saw verizons DSL is 768 Kbps, which is pretty slow for live i think.

can someone verify?

Try restarting your router and all devices connected to it (laptop xboxs etc). I had a similar problem with XBL not working and after restarting the router and all it started working.

Just wondering, do you ever get an error saying that the MTU is too low? Even if you don't, try changing it to 1496 (but if it doesn't help then change it back).

Download a small program called cyber tweak, it will give you the recommended settings for your connection, then to a speed test and you'll see the difference. I'm on an 8mb connection, at first i was just about getting 2mb download speed then after tweaking it I'm nearly getting 5mb D/L.
