    error 8015000a

    Im trying to upgrade from silver to gold and im getting error 8015000a,something about not being able to retrieve information from xbox live. Suggestions?

    usually means no signal from router to xbox, pull out all leads and start again

    So just restart the routers? i mean i can go into the XBL market place and can see all my XBL friends fine pretty much all of its working but it just wont let me upgrade.

    I also have two laptops connected to the same router, don't know if that changes anything.

    Got a weird story. I called MS support got some foreign guy had a really hard time understanding him but i remebered my windows live account that was registered as my dad's account so i didnt know his PW. So i called my dad and he didnt remeber either. So once again i tried to upgrade and got the same error. So one of my freinds just told me to create a new account I figured it wouldnt work but gave it a shot. To my suprise, when i was creating the new acccount my xbox live gold was confirmed. When it was creating my xbox live account it was at like 40% roughly and froze, so i restarted my xbox and when i got back to the dashboard apparently i had an active gold membership . But new account no gamer points and all the other bummers.
