MS won't update: VISTA SERVICE PACK uno

I guess my Computer has been trying to update itself for a little more than a year(i don't really pay attention to that stuff, i set it to automatic and it should handle it itself). And now i can't download Photoshop cs4 because it won't download. I tried using the microsoft help thing, doing everything it said, and nothing work.... I'm stuck here guys... any advice?

More info: it goes to about 20% and then just stops, it gives me the error code 80070002

    I'm a Photoshop noob

Try that. I think it is the same as the other thing I posted, but it is simplified as a .exe, just in case you made a mistake.

Make sure you give yourself full privileges to C:\Windows\winsxs\backup before you run the .bat file.

EDIT: before that, try this http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/t...displayLang=en

So it won't allow you to update to Vista SP1? Or has it installed SP1 then after installing it you can't download CS4?

Try reverting back to a previous point with System Restore. I suppose as a last resort you could use a recovery disc, should fix it but having to back everything up is a bit of a chore.

    My Setup:
    32in Samsung LCD LE32A457, 250GB 360 S, 320GB PS3, Wii
    47 360 games, 15 PS3 games, 6 Wii games
